Hunter’s artistic journey began in his childhood as a drummer, which naturally led him to explore DJing. This musical foundation laid the groundwork for his transition into visual arts, particularly photography, which he began pursuing in 2000. Over time, his artistic expression evolved to incorporate mixed media techniques, allowing him to tell more complex and nuanced stories through his work.

With a strong educational background, Coolty holds Masters of Arts Degrees in Audio Design and in Acoustics from The John Hopkins University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from A&T.
