The weekend begins with a curated Cypher Dinner Party at Mama Koko's  on Friday evening where we will have the sweetest, savoriest, richest conversations about the album, the era, and the (sensual) power of music, all over a Voodoo album-themed menu and signature drinks.

7pm - 9pm

Join us at the Hooper House, on the actual 25th Anniversary of Voodoo, for an Art Exhibition and Jam Session. Come witness art produced by 15 artists that interprets the album and the era (think: "the Soulquarians." Note: We know none of those artists really like that title). If you are a musician, spoken word artist, creative, come join us for the Jam Session as we reimagine and play with music from the album.

7pm - 9pm

Keep the dance energy going by joining us for our After Party following the exhibition. We can really experience the music of the 90s and early 00s that gave birth to Voodoo from DJ Wes Felton at Avenue Kitchen & Bar.

9pm - 12am

The weekend ends with a special Film Screening about D'Angelo, the album, and the era, followed by a community conversation that encourages us to engage with the spiritual and the secular. Featured filmmakers: Majestic Behavior, Learenna A. Reynolds, and Carlus Henderson.
